Back at one of our favorite rooms and dance floors in all of NYC, The Hall at Elsewhere, LF System brought the vibes to a sold out debut show in Brooklyn to close out their US tour. The Scottish duo–Conor Larkman and Sean Finnigan–shared The Hall with 4AM NYC, while OSSX and BASSBEAR!! held it down in Zone One and Motel Club lifted up The Loft.
It was a golden opportunity to catch LF System who only just entered into the dance music scene in 2022. Their entrance has been a proper bang rather than a slow climb, immediately scaling to success through their first #1 hit, “Afraid To Feel,” which sat atop of the UK singles chart for nearly two months. The duo only just gave up their day jobs mid-2022 as a roofer and petrol station worker, respectively, amongst their international success as producers and DJs. They’re living the dream and blessing fans with dreamy sets.
We spent most of our night in The Hall and couldn’t have been more thrilled with the music. There’s something unique and special about nights like this at Elsewhere when the stellar lighting setup is beaming lights that refract off multiple disco balls fueled by the DJ’s seamless mixing, excellent track selection, and their understanding of the crowd. To create such a smooth, fun, and sonically fantastic show isn’t a small feat for any artist, let alone those who are just getting started.
Just six days prior, we had the chance to catch LF System open up for Dom Dolla at the epic Red Rocks Amphitheater. Following that open air performance, catching them in a club was a different, immersive experience that we can’t wait to hit up again.
Their creative selection and groovy, flawless beat matching kept the dance floor packed all night in a truly immersive experience. We could’ve kept riding those waves for hours and hours longer and still would’ve wanted to keep going. Luckily for us, the sky seems to be the only limit for LF System, who are still getting started and have so much to give. We highly recommend joining them for a show whenever you have the chance.
